The Schoolhouse Hotel project saw Havenbrook Media develop the branding and marketing from the ground up. Because of our expertise in hospitality, we were also tasked with developing a complex system for the booking engine on the backend. This meant working with a number of vendors and backend applications that all had to talk to each other, ensuring that room availability and pricing were always up-to-date in real time. Working with a PMS software called Protel, we had to make sure that inventory management pushed information to the marketing channels (Expedia, Booking, etc.) and maintained its integrity day-to-day. Another aspect of this site is that the project was developed by The Disability Opportunity Fund, and all aspects of the work had to adhere to ADA standards, including the website. We worked with a company to create a website wherein the user could change font sizes, colors, or even have the text read aloud.
